3 Greek Islands

Updated: Oct 1, 2019

3 Greek islands recently explored and what we discovered !

Agistri, Chios and Santorini recently in 2019 we decided to get out of Athens and do some island hooping to experience some Greek island culture and work on our tans by soaking up that beautiful mediterranean sun.

“Do you wish to sail the mediterranean, enjoy the island life experience some history and get a tan at the same time?

Comparison of The Islands

#Agistri is cheapest, the most quite and has the best beach comparison to the others. We have cycled 18kms and saw all beaches. Everyone rent bike or motorcycle (Let's not give extra carbon). You can stay at an apart hotel next to sea between 40 to 120 Euros. The food prices between 3 Euros(Gyros) to 20 Euros (Fish etc). Friendly atmosphere.

#Chios is will satisfy you with its multi cultural history, architectural variety and nature. Mastic is the endemic tree. It's tears has fairytales. Tastes amazing and healthy for cholesterol. Don't get lost. The city located as labyrinth because of the pirates. That means you can lost :) The seafood is delicious. The restaurant prices between 3 to 30 Euros. Hotels 50- 250 Euros. You can stay at historical hotel. There are tourist tours for 20 Euros (in 2018)

#Santorini is very expensive but worth it. The hotels between 90-2000 Euros. Oia is the distict you are seeing on the photos with white houses. Perissa is the best for staying. We of course went there without knowing anything. After Agistri and Chios Santorini is more tourist occupied island. The workers are different than the other islands. Culturally different. They are in time, but less interactive with visitors. But totally helpful and polite. Perissa beach is our favorite. There are free chairs and paid on the beach. Delicious food. You can find gyros from 3 euros, and find seafood dish for 30euros. The buses are cheap as 1-3 euros. There are taxis for 15 people for 60 Euros from perissa to marine.
